Cameras
Over the last couple of years, I have accumulated quite a lot of different (mostly old) cameras. Many of these came from family, friends, and flea markets. I do my best to restore and use them, but naturally there are some favorites. Thus, this list isn’t an inventory but rater a selection of my most reliable companions.
Digital
- Fujifilm X-T30 II: My first Fujifilm camera and my favorite digital camera right now. I really love how not digital it is. There are tonnes of buttons, controls, and wheels. It’s also very reliable, which is great when traveling.
- Sony ZV-1: Something more pocketable, produces wonderfully soft and natural images.
Analog
- Canon A-1: Bought this camera last year in Japan. Since most of my lenses have M42 mounts (and I’ve yet to buy and adapter), I almost exclusively use it with a Canon 50mm f/1.4 lens. This rather boring duo works in almost every situation, and I’ve even been able to get solid photos at night without high ISO film.
- Mamiya RB67: The really, really big camera.
- Minox 35 GL: The tiniest 35mm camera. Also a wonderfully designed object.
- Minolta XL 401: The most recent addition to the collection. Wanted to get into Super 8 for a while, let’s see how it goes…
